The curtain rises and we find a mature Asarim and her husband Astur braced together waking up in a dark garden, shivering from cold, hunger and fright. All the beauty has disappeared, everything is dark and frightening, the only thing which remains is a small spark of love.

First Adagio ( Cancion a los Muertos ) sung in duo by Asarim and Astur and accompanied by a full orchestra, Oboe D'Amore, many Medieval Guitars (Guitarra Latina, lute, oud), and a full chorus.
